ABOUT ME

I am a Hatha/Kundalini/Tantra Yoga teacher/Jnana yogini/meditator/organic gardener, currently studying Qi Gong and Energy Healing in Santa Fe.

But to give you a deeper slice of my true essence, I have also: climbed dangerous mountains solo, washed cows for a living, received and offered magical assistance to/from other heartfelt travelers, hiked to numbers of peaks in the full moonlight, created a review show fundraiser so a community member could see her dying mother in Germany, survived teaching troubled teenagers, been a Sushi Chef/bike mechanic/"Smoothie Queen of the NorthWest", danced the "Tinman" in a ballet of Oz, put on a Scorpio Trance-formation party for the 2003 Harmonic Convergence and . . . I have a few other stories to tell:)

Devoted to Healing, well-being, service, whole food, whole life, sharing, presence, making a Home for my Soul.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in community, right action, responsibility, integrity; living, speaking, doing generously and graciously.

CS is a great idea and I've had some of the most wonderful people connecting experiences of my life on here. May the web grow. I actually have hosted once -- the one time in the last 5 years that I have lived somewhere I could host! Hope to update the yogic cave soon:)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had an EXCELLENT first couchsurfing experience in Moncton, Nova Scotia. My host was of superior graciousness and set the high water mark for my own hosting. I'm inspired.

Beginner's mind

Let go. Seek beginner's mind.
Each day. Each moment. Like nothing came before.
Do not let the world go by in passive wonder.
Dive in, into the unknown, into the unknowable.
Patience.
What delicate operation to extract true nature from the carnage of this twisted, limited paradigm.
I am not this culture. But I am of it.
When paralyzed by past mistakes or future indecision, step off the path, create a now direction.
When I'm ready, I'll decide. I'll go and do when I am ready.
So, begin.
It's so difficult to be uninspired.
Because I am "them". I am you, difficult ones. I am the cultural inertia.
But I don't blame anyone. Not even myself.
There is no right or wrong.
There is only moving forward, fully or not.
So, ask questions my friend, at least until you are no longer afraid. ~ SSS

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Crack-in-the-ground, Oregon. One of the most amazing wonders of the world! A 2 mile long, 4-15 ft. wide and 40-60 ft. tall basalt rock "crack". Great for climbers and non alike. Don't forget your climbing shoes.
