Overview
About Me
I am always open to new experiences! I love traveling, meeting new people, and sharing our cultures.
When I am not traveling I enjoy live theatre. I volunteer either as an actress or backstage crew member. I also love singing, and I'm always down for karaoke!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am living in Japan, and I want to do some traveling to areas where accommodation is difficult to find. I'm also very open to practicing Japanese and getting a taste of the lifestyle. I have lived in Saitama for almost 4 years and have three more months left in Japan. I want to make the most of it.
Interests
Music! I love singing, playing a little guitar when I can, and dancing (swing, salsa, etc.)
Travel! Wandering through cities, talking with people, hiking and exploring the outdoors,
Food! I'm always up for learning new dishes, especially from whatever place I'm currently visiting.
Theatre and Improv! Which makes me pretty outgoing and adaptable.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am always accepting recommendations! As for books, recently I've really liked traveling with a book, and then trading or leaving it behind with a travel companion so they can read it next and pass it on. It's a good way to read things you might not have expected.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have visited 42 out of Japan's 47 prefectures and I want to finish them all before I leave!
I've also hiked Mt. Fuji, and cycled the Shimanami Kaido, a 70km bike path from Honshu to Shikoku!
Teach, Learn, Share
I have taught English for seven years and I am hoping to one day teach Japanese. That's is why I am in school now and working on postgraduate studies.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Recipes and some gardening tips! I love cooking and enjoy using fresh herbs and veggies from my balcony when I can. My specialties include Korean food and homemade things like pesto and ricotta cheese. I am also very good at using whatever's in the fridge/spice rack and improvising a tasty meal.
