Hello everyone, my name is Amanda and due to a career change I am moving all the way from Virginia Beach to upstate New York. I have only visited NY a few times, so living up there is truly going to be a brand new experience for me. I have only one friend and one relative that reside in NY, so I'm hoping to find someone that clicks with me who is eager to show me the sites.

I love animals! I have a dog and a gecko, but I will not be bringing them with me until I find a permanent address.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking for a place to live as I swiftly change jobs, but a need a few couches to crash on while doing so, I start my new job June 22 and am having difficulty tracking down a roommate to move in with.

I love every genre of music as long as it is pleasant to their ears. I love audiobooks because I never have time to just sit down and read. I love all movies, especially horror, but I do tend to dislike chick flicks.
