We are two recent university graduates (Go Gators!) who are living in Europe starting in June.

We became friends when we got our first taste of travel while studying abroad for four months in Florence, Italy. While there, we visited as many countries as we could, made friends along the way, and learned that we could bond with almost anyone when we told them the story of Emily falling into a canal in Venice and Amanda pulling her out. Our four months weren't long enough and we are back for more traveling.

We're both friendly, outgoing people and look forward to meeting many more friends from around the world. We'll never pass up an opportunity to take a spontaneous day trip or stay out until the bars close.

We both feel so fortunate to have this time to travel and are eager not to let it go to waste.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When we go to a new city, we don't want to just meet other tourists, we want to know what it is actually like to live there. We believe CouchSurfing is a great tool to connect with locals.

Interests

Emily studied English and political science, loves reading and writing, and has been a vegetarian for ten years. Amanda is a registered nurse, lives an active life (certified to teach barre fitness classes!), and enjoys experimenting with healthy recipes.

We love to listen to pretty much anything. Lately we've had time to read some poetry. Our favorite movies are comedies.
