About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get to Chile

ABOUT ME

I want to travel to Chile where my ancestors are from. I hang out in the center of the city. I have lived in New York City and Berlin. Have visited a lot of American cities and some European, and S. American ones.

I love cities. I realize that couch surfers I host study my profile well and all are kind but it is also important for my couch surfers to be themselves. I like showing you around and finding out what you like so feel free to be honest about what you like or don't like about a city tour and you will have a great time. Some people like touristy things, that's fine. Others like to do more relaxed or minimal hip stuff, that's fine too.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophies are constantly changing and being questioned. Just trying to enjoy my life right now, and expand my mind. I am interested in cultures and ideas different from mine.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I do not use CS in the States unless I host. Am a proud Chicagoan. I have surfed before and the experiences were in Germany-always fun.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far my experience as a surfer have been with friends in Hamburg so of course it has been great. One friend I met in Hamburg (who was a Spanish student) and I ended up having a blast couchsurfing when we did not know anyone and needed a place to crash. The couchsurfing idea is great and this website will bring a lot of people together. Being in Europe allowed me to meet people from all over the world.

Interests

I am a good tour guide. I can tell how to get free museum passes and wifi in Chicago. Am into music of all kinds. House music is good. Anything good to dance to is fun. I enjoy...

I jog an hour everyday.

Coffee.

I have a facebook profile.

I love animals.

Movies.

Summer.

Music, Movies & Books

Films: Network, Dog Day Afternoon, Dr. Stranglove. Music: Mgmt, Stromae (that one saxophone song), Peter Fox, die Atzen, Gaga. Lenka, Have been to the opera 3 times, new york philharmonic, grew up listening to my older bro play jazz instruments, been to chicago blues fest... so many things. Book: "What I Talk About when I Talk About Running" by Murakami, Life with Rose Kennedy by B. Gibson.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Summer in Sylt/swimming in North Sea.

Re-peat-3-peat Bulls Championship victory speeches at Grant Park when I was 10.

Obamas Inauguration in Washington DC ( I was standing right next to the George Washington Monument when he was sworn in.)

Stuck for an hour in the middle of highway in Indiana, a horse broke loose from a truck and galloped along miles of motionless cars.

Countless visits to Lincoln Park Zoo- something new always happens there.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am trying different things. I read books. Have always gone to museums. I like festivals. I have always been a city kid, so big cities are comforting to me. I can walk for ages and still be in awe of architecture from the past. I share my couch for people who have a fresh outlook on life and love to teach as well as learn.

Countries I've Visited

Chile, Denmark, France, Germany

Countries I've Lived In
