I am a second year undergraduate student at King's College London. I study Biomedical Engineering and really enjoy coding and physics! I also study ethics and religion as a side course, and the knowledge I have gained from it has really influenced me and my perception of the world. I am very open minded and receptive to discussions related to pretty much everything! I love listening to people!
I was born in Pakistan but have been living in London now for my studies. I am bit of a vocal rainbow because my British/Pakistani/US pronunciations all mix up sometimes. I am an avid reader, and I blog a lot too.
I am very social and I love meeting new people. I believe that we all have something to learn from one another.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
NOT FOR DATING and this is not tinder.
I want to travel alone and experience many different places from the local perspective. I love to interact with people from different backgrounds and couch surfing, I believe is a great educational experience. Living in London as a student has taught me a lot about the city and I will be very happy to welcome people from around the world and help them settle in!
“A person does not grow from the ground like a vine or a tree, one is not part of a plot of land. Mankind has legs so it can wander.”
I love meeting new people, exploring new places, reading, writing, cooking and singing!
Music, Movies, and Books
I love listening to electronic, house, classical and pop! A River Flows in You by Yiruma is one of my favourite tunes. I am addicted to music and always feel the need to add a soundtrack to my life!
My taste in movies varies according to my mood. Horror is always a no, but I enjoy watching psychological thrillers, science fiction and in small doses, rom coms! My latest favourite movie is the Imitation Game.
Reading is one of the most important parts of my life. In fact one of my biggest fears is not being able to read all the books that I want to before I die. A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Housseni really moved me, so did The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo. I actually have a little library in my house and enjoy both fiction as well as non fiction.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have travelled up to the himalayas in Kashmir for a clean up project just to hand pick trash and plant more trees! I have done a lot of charity work, but I am quite proud of this journey :D
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you Urdu/Punjabi and maybe a little bit of yoga too ;)
I blog about my university life here so if only you are keen to learn more about me:
What I Can Share with Hosts
Its either my sense of humour is great, or its so bad that it always makes people laugh. Either way, I don't mind being a little goofy just to put a smile on someone's face. I live in the moment, I love life, and I try to make the most of it every day. I promise you a lot of laughs, positivity and excitement!
I have had the chance to live in very contrasting cultural settings. In London, I have a lot of friends from different parts of the world who have really educated me about the world and combined with my love for books, I can always assure you interesting conversations!
I am easy going and get along with all kinds of people, and my biggest goal here is that any people I meet through couch surfing will find a friend in me.
