About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Black Hills

ABOUT ME

I am easy-going and laid-back, and my only hope is to see the world and meet new people. I try to stay positive and look on the bright side (Okay sometimes I can be negative inside my own head but I try real hard to turn it around!) I've always thought that life is way too short to take too seriously.

PHILOSOPHY

Carpe Diem!!! YOLO!!!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Always like to meet others and would love to give tours of Philadelphia or sunny NJ! Wish I had a couch to share but I live in a small house with no extra space - but who knows, hopefully that will change when I win the lottery someday!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None :)

Interests

I love scenery and nature and just taking in all of the beautiful things in life. I especially love the fall in New England. I like to plan little trips and getaways, and sometimes I like to travel alone too, so that I can soak it all in and bond with nature.

Music, Movies & Books

Movies ~ I really enjoy comedies, stand-up comics, romantic comedies, dramas. Movies that are uplifting, movies that make you think. I guess I have a wide range of taste - The Notebook and Forrest Gump. Very silly, I really enjoy frat comedies like "40 year old virgin" "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" "Silver Linings Playbook" "Zero Dark Thirty" etc. Music - I like a little of everything. Classic rock, pop, and country music :) I love acoustics and blues. I am an avid reader of cheesy romance novels and mysteries, also love to read travel books.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

The Grand Canyon - saw it for the first time in the summer of 2010, and it was just breathtaking. It made me realize how small me and my problems are in comparison, and I felt an overwhelming happiness that I was lucky enough to be there. Visiting the canyon changed my life in a big way. Another place where I had a nice moment of inspiration was visiting Fallingwater - the house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in the middle of PA. Very cool :)

Another beautiful site was Niagara Falls and walking up the steps to the falls. So awe-inspiring!

Teach, Learn, Share

Megabus - $1 fares if you plan really far in advance!!! Yes, they really are just $1!!
