I am very curious about the world and would like to experience as much of it as humanly possible. Travel is, to me, one of the best ways to do this and CS seems to be the most genuine and economical way to enjoy it!
I like to think that I have a good sense of humor. I can be a bit loud and silly at times but can also be serious about certain subjects like politics, economics or the state of the world at large...I love to talk about these things as well as art, race/ethnicity, culture music and anything else that may flavor this life of ours. I consider myself a student to the world and all of its many teachers (no matter how cliché that may sound!). I noticed something the other day: the more I travel and experience the world...the less I feel I know it...but I am starting to like this feeling.
Be the change you want to see in the world. --Gandhi
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just joined and am traveling currently so I will be surfing for now but hope to host in the future. I plan to become a member.
I met my first surffer this month who loved it and turned me on to the site and the culture. Thanks Izzy.
Travel (not to be too obvious), cultural exchange, talking about things that matter, talking about things that don't matter, laughing, good films, documentaries, reading (although I am trying to do this one more), writing, singing, changing peoples perspectives--changing my own, riding on motos, smiling at people and watching them smile back (dorky I know but its rare where I come from), drinking, cooking, learning, getting to know new people, doing/eating things I have never done/eaten before, pushing myself....and, aaahhh...having fun!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Took a spontaneous motorcycle ride through South India with friends. It was supposed to be a 4 hour trip to a waterfall. The trip ended up being a total of 22 hours (to say the least we got wrong directions) and the waterfall ended up being the most mind blowingly beautiful thing I had ever seen (later found out it was called the Niagara Falls of India). Definitely worth the sore ass!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach or share: cooking, conversation, my opinions and personal experiences in life, English tutoring and some other things I cant think of right now.
I would like to learn anything you have to share!
