Alright, let's get done with the cliches first. "Honest, fun-loving, happy-go-lucky, adventurous, nerdy and a lot of other adjectives". I refuse to be summed up by a bunch of words. I am a heterogeneous mix of a lot of those and many more. In what proportions? Well, that I'm trying to figure out myself.
I am originally from India, where I have been most of my life. I moved to the US three of years ago.
I like taking my chances and believe that we have to put ourselves in new, wonderful, ambiguous situations that allow us to meet people, go on adventures and find that piece within ourselves that remains incognito until tricked into coming out by new people and experiences. And that's what brings me to couchsurfing.
I am an accommodating , clean and very adaptable! I can party up till the first ray of sunlight as well as be happy with a nice quiet time over a beer, coca cola or a cup of tea.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I travel, I get to meet people and share knowledge. I feel couchsurfing is the best way to meet people from diverse cultures and backgrounds, and learn about the values that color their lives, while helping them have a good time in my city.
Travel, language, history, food, cocktails, concerts, sports, basically everything! Oh and Food again.
Music, Movies, and Books
There's just too much to write here. I'd leave it to our discussions when we meet!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I caught an anaconda in the Amazon jungle. Although it was a baby anaconda, but learning to catch one and then being comfortable handling him was a wonderful experience.
Also, this might not be really relevant here, but I've driven a car at 232 kmph on a road that was nowhere close to a race track.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy seeing the world and all its cultures and languages. It interests me how other countries have unique norms and different ways to go about living. I just wanna see it all!
A jack of all trades, I just know a little bit about so many things primarily because I value variety in life. For people who don't have English as their first language, I can help with English. We could exchange travel stories. I love to learn especially when it comes to psychology, language, even in the general sense, anthropology, philosophy, and so on.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My cultural experiences, educational stuff, my intellectual beliefs and a ton of food. Hygiene is a big deal for me, so hosts could expect me to clean up pretty well!
