One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was at a full moon drum circle at black's beach, around 1am, some friends and i stripped down naked and swam in the ocean. well, the water was glowing! Everytime you'd kick your legs ormove the water around at all, it would light up in dazzling flourescent streaks. we'd splash each other and your body would have neon lights streaming all over it as the water hit you. it was simply amazing. the explanation?
Somtimes in the summer here in San Diego we get a red tide ( a huge growth of microrganisms) in the ocean. well, during red tide, at night, the water glows because the the micro organisms can produce light inside their bodies when they are distrubed. thbus, every time you swish the water around, it lights up!
