Holaaaaaa! :) Australian engineer who was in Ireland for the past year (but couldn't keep up with ☔ and 🍻 haha).

Like everyone else here, I love travelling and meeting peeps from around the world. It has mostly come from growing up in a few places (Russia, Dubai, Australia, India) as a child. Spent my last few years living in Hong Kong, Texas, Ireland.

I'm now bouncing around Europe and will be starting my own business :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here to be part of the most genuine and authentic community I know of so far. I have surfed, hosted and met people at CS events who were my best friends back home. This is a great group of open minded, friendly peeps :)

Interests

I'm someone who constantly likes to mix things up haha.

I love my ukulele. Fun fact: I was in a Ukulele band touring in Ireland 😂

I love to surf (done a few trips to Morocco, Ireland, Portugal and back home in Oz to surf).

I love comedy. I perform improv comedy (where the audience suggests some theme and we improvise a 40min). I am now going to start some standup too.

I love robotics and physics. I am now a product manager in software (you may have heard of Jira? Intercom?) and love to keep pushing my knowledge. I am currently doing a course in AI and have previously worked on some interesting projects (like trying to predict the next road crash in Sydney). I'm also doing a small course on quantum physics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went night scuba diving in the Philippines and on a night hike in the Colombian Amazon. Both experiences, strangely enough, were so bizarrely similar. They leave you completely disoriented, somewhat only in your head as every other sense stops working. Very cool but wouldn't recommend it for too long haha.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have been performing improv comedy for the past few years and would love to teach the basics of comedy :)

In exchange, I would love to learn one recipe from you haha. I'm terrible at cooking.

Of course, I also just generally love learning and sharing life experiences. There's a lot we can learn from each other.
