Overview
About Me
As an educator and advocate for youth, I've lived on the Texas-Mexico border for the past decade. Needing a change and an escape from the heat, I recently relocated to the mountains in beautiful Taos, New Mexico, and accepted a job as the education coordinator for a program that serves as an alternative to incarceration for 12-15 year olds. I love road trips, classic muscle cars (especially my 1976 El Camino), and vintage travel trailers and mobile homes. It also should be noted that I have what my friends refer to as "straydar" and am a magnet for stray dogs, children, ponies, etc. My toothless Chihuahua Earl, sweet little Lucy, and foster dog, Harry, are my current companions.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Road trips to out of the way places and the people I meet traveling beat any hotel any day, and I love offering a home away from home in my fabulous mid century mobile home to other nomads and wanderers.
Interests
In no particular order, I am interested in: Spartan trailers, sushi, dog rescue, the opportunity gap in our education system, El Caminos, sunshine and swimming, mid century decor, the Pacific Northwest, and coffee.
