About Me

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm fairly new to Couchsurfing, and have really only used it this past summer during a trip to Europe. I was travelling with my sister (we shared her account) and we Couchsurfed twice with people in France. In another city, we also attended Couchsurfing picnics to meet locals and other travellers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had nothing but amazing experiences through Couchsurfing. My first night, we were warmly welcomed by a couple who had organized a barbecue for us and other friends. The second experience was over four days, and our hosts were so kind and generous, inviting us into their lives, and hanging out as if we were old friends. And in another city, even when Couchsurfers couldn't host us, they were still eager to hang out and show us around.

Interests

I love being outdoors and active: I enjoy hiking, camping, rock climbing, and playing sports (like squash, skiing, biking, ping pong), but I am by no means an expert at any of those things. That being said, I always seek out opportunities to improve my skills and try new things. My family is also very important to me, and I keep up with everyone at the annual visits at our cottage (where we waste away the time talking and spending time outside). I have also been involved in music (piano and flute) from a young age, but have trouble finding the time to enjoy it.
