ABOUT ME

I'm 21, originally from southern California, and am living in Flagstaff, Arizona for the next year. I would describe myself as a good listener, friendly, outgoing and ready to make the best out of any situation. I haven't done much traveling in my life but have caught the travel bug from friends and family am ready to explore!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a beginner Couchsurfer and have not yet had any experiences...but I plan to!

Interests

I like to be active; for me this includes hiking, running, rock climbing (basically, anything outside), dancing, and workout/fitness classes. I enjoy cooking my own meals as well as baking (I LOVE sweets), especially cookies! I love to read and am always looking for book recommendations. Listening to music, and singing along in what may sound similar to a dying cat, is another of my interests. On a more serious note, I love that songs can touch people in different ways. I also love being social, meeting new people, and have been known to enjoy a drink or 2 on the weekends. But I have nothing against relaxing at home and some of my favorite, if unproductive, days are spent drinking tea, knitting scarves, and watching old musicals.

Books: My favorites include The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Wheel of Time series, and Middlesex.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently went on my first climbing trip in Joshua Tree, California. At the top of one climb, Sail Away, you have to straddle the top of the rock (it's about the size of a coffee table) and you get a 360 degree view of the park. It was amazing to see the entire landscape. Definitely an "out of this world" experience. I'll never forget it. I also rapelled for the first time after that climb...it was great fun!

Any time I'm in Sedona the mixture of orange rock and green trees takes my breath away. It's such a privelege to live so close to such beauty!

Teach, Learn, Share

Knowledge that I have to share? I can't think of anything specifically, but if I have knowledge about something that someone is interested in I'm happy to share any and all things that I know. Not a very eloquent way to put it, but there it is :)
