About Me
Hi, I'm Astrid.
I like music - sometimes play it even. I sing and play the piano, mostly indie-folk-pop-kind-of style. But I like many kinds of music, especially live.
I used to live and study in Berlin for a while, and I loved it!
I work in a townhall in a small town an hour north of Copenhagen taking care of stuff in the cultural department. I also work with communication in social housing communities. Basically I'm really into culture of all sorts. Books (from fantasy to philosophy and a lot of contemporary fiction in between), theatre (especially kids theatre - which the danes are famous for), films and tv-series (we watch a lot), art (especially modern art - but anything can be interesting if it is well curated), memorials, live music, city art..... I also like nature, walking and such, but I am not a great hiker or outdoors'y type although I sometimes would like to be a little more like that.
My boyfriend, Jonas, by the way is 34 and works with sound design in computer games. He's also into music, books, films and art.
We're both friendly and easy-going, but we don't have a lot of space and both work a lot, so don't know how often we will be able to lend our couch to someone.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I live in Copenhagen and really like it. But I also like to travel and see other bits of the world. I like travelling as a backpacker and meeting local people who can tell you the stuff that no guidebook can tell you. I also enjoy showing foreigners around in Copenhagen - it's fun to be a tourist in my own city. Right now I'm looking for people who would like to meet up or maybe host my boyfriend and I for a night or two as we're travelling around Japan in april. Maybe somebody who just want to show us the proper way to drink sake, or where to find the best food, or even better - some interesting live music. The itinerary is still very open - but we're flying in and out of Osaka. We really want to get a little bit into the countryside, so any tips in that direction are welcome.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went to prison the write my thesis about singing inmates. (I was allowed to get out though, so not the full experience). That was a journey even though I didn't go very far!
Teach, Learn, Share
Very interested in cultural differences, expressions and language.
