About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To participate in a great 2-way service, to provide and then be able to reciprocate, local accommodations wherever I land in my travels.
ABOUT ME
Mike and I have a quiet lifestyle - but never a dull moment. We don't eat out, but we both cook and love to do it! We read, watch sci-fi on BBC (LOVE Dr. Who), and watch the occasional movie, usually long after release to big screen. Mike is a retired software engineer and is currently working on improving data management and invoicing for my seedling business. I am a cellist and teach beginning and intermediate string students. I play in several local orchestras and have a small ensemble specially suited for weddings and receptions. AND I farm part time. We grow heirloom vegetable seedlings to order… there's always work to be done in the greenhouse or garden.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'd love to host a few travelers, skiers, or tourists here in Maine. And in turn I'd love to have the privilege of couch surfing when I travel. The program sounds incredibly rewarding.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm just starting! The prospect of meeting real folks in New Zealand later this year is fabulous!
Interests
Classical, jazz, folk, Celtic music. Organic food production, teaching kids to garden, make pesto and pickles, do landscaping projects and maintenance, teach folks how to save seeds, grow their own food, and preserve it. Occasional hiking - great opportunities in Western Maine - wildlife watching.
