About Me

Ana and Amruta:

We're sisters traveling in Europe before we spend the summer in India! We are 20 and 24, coming to France for the first time. We're fun, friendly and laid back - really excited to meet more locals and other young travelers. I (Ana) am a student studying journalism and computer science and Amruta works in San Francisco.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We'd much rather hang out and meet some locals than be ! Amruta has traveled quite a bit but I (Ana) am a fledging traveler and think fellow Couchsurfers would be great people to meet and hear stories from :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some friends and I were camping in Bodega Bay, on the Northern California coast and were on a hike when we ran into some rockclimbers - we'd never tried it before, but they offered to teach us, so we put a lot of trust into these strangers and let them harness us up and manage the rope while we climbed. It was terrifying but so, so much fun, and we definitely made some new friends :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a competitive Bollywood dancer - if you are interested, I'd be happy to teach you a few moves (I promise anyone can learn.) I would love to cook or bake something for you if you don't mind having us in your kitchen (and we'll def bring you a few San Francisco specialties). I also nanny for two adorable toddlers at home, so if you have kids that's not a problem at all :) Amruta is much better at speaking Hindi and Marathi than I am, and can teach you the basics, and will also share all her wild stories of backpacking through Asia and Australia ;)
