Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Interest in cultural exchange!
I arrived in France in March 2020 with a VacancesTravail visa, and so far I can say that I have met incredible people who have opened up and wanted to share, thank you! I'm very happy with the friendships I've been able to make thanks to the Couchsurfing community.
If you are reading this, I hope to meet you, and if you go to Uruguay tomorrow, I hope to show you the city where I lived before coming here and the customs we have there! Whether it is food, music, going to drink mate at some square or at the rambla (especially), and showing you the city and telling you about the seaside and other places in Uruguay.
If I am not in Uruguay at the moment, I can still give you all the tips and recommendations I might know.
- making friends
- jewelry making
- interesting people
- international food
- intercambio cultural
- jeux de société
Music, Movies, and Books
I like all kinds of music! Especially oldies, blues, funk and soul! Uruguayan indie, candombe, murgas.
Movies; Amelie, Loving Vincent, Eternal glow of a mind without memories, A brilliant mind, 8 Basque surnames, Pulp Fiction, Into the wild, to mention a few.
Series: A very secret service, dark, orange is the new black
The name of the rose, the old man and the sea, the voices of the desert
also by Aldous Huxley, Lovecraft, Gabriel Rolón, Gabriel García Márquez, Osho, Umberto Eco
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Parachute jumping with my mother (very good experience, we both recommend it), having gone alone to another country when I was 21, having come to France to learn about this culture and language having a basic level of it.
Something that I also dared to do while being here was to cut my hair, at first at 4 millimeters (now it has grown quite a bit). It was something I wanted to do a long time ago but I didn't have the courage.
I was encouraged, and I can say that I don't regret it and that having short hair is great! and it's very practical
Teach, Learn, Share
Digital and 35mm photos, music heard in Uruguay and in the region, language, culture, mate if possible! (maybe when the current situation gets better)
If you want to know about my country, I will tell you everything I know.
I have also learned expressions from here in France but I still have many things to learn!
If you want to know a little about my country, I recommend you these videos:
