About Me

READ THIS FIRST BEFORE SENDING COUCHREQUEST

Unfortunately Couchsurfing changed their website and it's not obligatory anymore to tell why you want to be hosted by this person. I actually really miss this section! Nobody likes to feel like a free hostel, copy-and-paste requests don't impress me.

CURRENT MISSION

Don't have a mission. I like to think the paths of life are unpredictable!

ABOUT ME

Hi there!

My name is Andreea and I finished my master Labour Law 2 years ago, but enjoying working at Schiphol airport much more, so that's what I've been doing for the past years + a LOT of traveling! In my free time I like to meet with my friends for a drink, dance, read a good book and during the summer enjoy the beach and going to some great Dutch festivals.

Here you can see some of my adventures in a short video I made when I was traveling alone in Brazil and Colombia: https://vimeo.com/121428802

I also started a blog about Couchsurfing, you can find it here: 'The couch diaries'. And also my photography from my travels you can find here.

PHILOSOPHY

I would say I'm an open minded and cheerful person and always find myself walking on the sunny part of the street. I'm a positive thinker and live life to the fullest and go my own way. Two things I love in life: my freedom to do and go wherever I want to go and meeting other people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I've surfed in London, Brazil and Colombia but mostly I hosted people in my own house and let couchsurfers taste the Jopen Trinitas Triple in the 'Jopenchurch' in Haarlem. It's the best! I like the concept of CS, the feeling that we're all connected and I can help others out if needed.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had the chance to host for a couple of times and that was a lot of fun, some are already friends for life!

Interests

Travel to learn about new cultures, people, meals and learn from everything and everyone.
Photography: I love taking pictures and sharing my experiences through photography!

Music, Movies, and Books

I LOVE latin music! Especially salsa, I find it very irresistible that it makes me want to sway those hips to the groove.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In September of 2016 I did the Annapurna Basecamp trekking of 6 days through the Himalayas - 4130m high - to observe the other-worldly landscape that is often found on so many Nepalese postcards. The sunrise was truly spectacular!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Cambodia, Colombia, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Morocco, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
