About Me

Although my response rate is 25%, I do respond to Couch Requests and Messages. The new website update messed up my response rate.

***Profile below is CURRENT as of May 15, 2016***
***If YOU send a Couch Request, READ everything under "MyHome"***

What can I say? I'm a thrill-seeker, an adrenaline junkie. I do stuff that must people won't do on a regular basis. I love skydiving, scubadiving, theme parks, and all those fun things.

I'm originally from Colombia, but lived in Orlando Florida USA for about 12 years, moved to San Antonio Texas USA for work, and CURRENTLY living in Trier Germany. I would love to travel the world, meet interesting people and see what life has to offer.

I speak both English and Spanish. I'm 24 years old.

***Side Note: The new update messed up Couch Surfing a lot, please, if we have not met in person, don't send me a friend request. I would love to be friends, but my only requirement is that you send me a friend request after I have hosted you or you have hosted me (or if we meet in person, like at a couchsurfing event). The goal of Couch Surfing is not too add "numbers" to the friend list. Don't hesitate to message me though, I do like to answer questions and talk if that's what you want.***

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why I'm on Couchsurfing? That's actually a pretty good question. I found out about CouchSurfing back in 2011, got to admit that I was very hesitant and nervous about surfing at other people's houses. But when I had my first experience in Lima Peru, I was hooked. For me, CouchSurfing is more than free accommodations. It is a way to explore different cultures and a great way to make friends. Friends that i wouldn't make if I had travel the regular way. I believe that CouchSurfing can have a great impact on people's lives. It is a way to push people out of their comfort zone. It is a way to see the world through other people's eyes. I see myself using this site for the rest of my life, either by offering my house to other people, or surfing while I travel the world.

When I arrived in Germany back in November 2013, I made myself a promise to travel all of Europe as much as I could. I came up with the goal of doing 12 countries in 12 months (2014 Goal). Now that 2014 is over, I can proudly say I did 19 countries, I beat my goal by 7 extra countries!

The following list shows the places I have visited in 2014:

January 2014: Lisbon Portugal
February 2014: London England
March 2014: St. Vith Belgium and The Netherlands
April 2014: Belgium (Brussels, Bruges, Dendermonte, Antwerp and Doel)
Luxembourg (City)
Metz, France
May 2014: Barcelona and Ibiza Spain
June 2014: Croatia
July 2014: Alghero Italy, and Pisa/Florence Italy
Azores (Lajes), Portugal
August 2014:
September 2014: Volos and Athens Greece
October 2014: Kaunas Lithuania
Riga Latvia
November 2014: Reykjavik, Iceland
Basel and Zurich Switzerland
Vaduz Liechtenstein
Dublin Ireland
December 2014: San Juan and Culebra Puerto Rico
United States of America

My main interest is to travel. I have the opportunity to do so at the moment and I will most definitely take advantage of that fact.

Nothing can be more rewarding than exploring the world and making friends along the way.

Carpe Diem :D

Teach, Learn, Share

“Traveling is a brutality. It forces you to trust strangers and to lose sight of all that familiar comfort of home and friends. You are constantly off balance. Nothing is yours except the essential things – air, sleep, dreams, the sea, the sky – all things tending towards the eternal or what we imagine of it.”
