Hello! I'm a new user to the CouchSurfing experience! From Manhattan, New York City I'm currently living in Kansas City finishing my last year of med school as I interview for Residencies around the country. I came to Kansas City not knowing what to expect. To be honest I was narrow-minded and thought it was a small cattle herding town. It's not a cattle herding town. It's not small. It's got a lot of spirit, crazy jazz, great food, art in plethora, socially open minded people, a booming market and now, once again, world champions. Congratulations Royals! As I am exploring and surfing upon couches, I openly welcome new friends to do the same upon mine!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's lovely to be a part of this amazing community of reaching out. In every city I have traveled I have met the most miraculous souls in the simplest of places. The more peoples, words, cultural concepts and stories we add to our spirits, the better people we become. I think I'd rather appreciate the cultures of the cities I visit, in a simultaneously more personable and inexpensive fashion as opposed to the corporate nonculture of a hotel (in this day and age, is such a concept even necessary?!). This is fun and this is modern, and it is an expression of true beneficence!
I'm auditioning in Detroit for a position as new resident at a Hospital in Mount Clemens. I arrive December 3rd and prepare for an interview the following morning. Other than the interview which ends in the early afternoon on the 3rd, I will explore the town and enjoy what Michigan has to offer! I'd love to take a host and whatever roommates/friends they may have out for dinner! I love great brews, fun whiskey cocktails, entertaining conversation and being young. Though my interview takes priority, other than business, I aim for it to be maximum pleasure! The host can be part of that, or otherwise, it is all up to you!
I currently am working on two pieces of fiction. Writing is my world, and oneday I hope to make it as a second career. One thing at a time nonetheless, for my main interest (my career) at this point is Medicine. Still, I enjoy the simpler things in life, the beauty I see in travels, music, art, theater, sights, scents and sounds. Conversations with bohemian romantics over red glasses of wine. I enjoy boxing as well, and though I no longer professionally compete (I've quit due to potential -though never sustained- health consequences), I find the training (aerobics and dance routines) to be the most exhilarating and health promoting activity out there.

What I Can Share with Hosts
Friendly conversation mixing with undertones of humor, hilarity, talks of travels, people, cultures, and overtones of warmth. I can share drinks and war stories, and make laughter abound. Though I will be busy and away from the 'couch' anytime other than the 'couchsurf' I would love to take the host out for a bite to eat, and to explore the town for as long as the Host can offer.
