Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently looking to couch surf in several locations in Spain

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Zero - however I am really eager to try it out and really looking forward to it!

Interests

Escape through travel works - seat belt signs switch on, problems switch off. I've been travelling on and off since the age of 18 and don't have any intention to stop any time soon. I've worked at a student youth travel agency for three years which has only spurred my desire for travel. Apart from travel I love languages having studied a double major in French and Spanish. I love meeting new people and trying new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books - The art of Happiness, First they killed my Father, The Beach. I love all music

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've lived la vida loca and soaked up the sun (and Tequila) in Mexico and have been a curator of fine chocolate and beer in Belgium and know both countries like the back of my hand. I've hiked the majestic Atlas and marvelled at the grandeur of the Hassan II mosque in Casablanca; walked the L.A strip and gambled my fate on the spin of a roulette wheel in Fabulous Las Vegas. I've walked in the footsteps of the ancient Inca to Machu Picchu and was humbled by the awe inspiring Angkor Wat in the picturesque Cambodian countryside. Where to next? Classic Euro summer road trip focusing on the Mediterranean; 2012 is going to be epic! And one day I'd like to backpack East Africa - Nairobi to Jo'burg! I couldn’t imagine a life without travel and the thrill of the great unknown.
