I'm a student currently trying to figure out my place in life. I have some travel experience, but not as much as I'd like yet.

I'm sorry about the lack of references. I created this profile when I went to Australia in 2012 but then never used it. Now, that I'm doing some travelling again, I've reactivated it. I'd love to host some people, but to be honest, very few people, especially couch surfers, ever visit my hometown. If you are willing to host me, I promise to be an awesome guest.

I like to meet new people when I go to new places, and I find that locals know a lot more about what's going on and what there is to do than hotels or even hostels. When I went to New Zealand, I got lucky and met a lot of people on my bus tour. I don't usually do bus tours, however, so Couchsurfing is the best way to meet people.

I'm open to a lot of music: a mix of oldies, pop, and indie. It seems that NoiseTrade is my go-to site for music these days.
I don't go out to the movies too often, but action-type stuff seems to be the norm. I still need to fill in my repertoire of Marvel movies I've seen, but if The Shawshank Redemption comes on the TV, I'm watching it.
Most of the books I read are non-fiction, dealing with architecture, planning, and personal development/business-type stuff. Titles I've read recently include The Death and Life of Great American Cities, Forty Chances, and Blue Ocean Strategy.

I had an amazing two-week trip to New Zealand in which I took a train across the country an then a bus tour. I went hiking on mountains and up to glaciers, skydiving, bungee jumping, cycling, and had an all-around glorious experience.
