About Me

I am trying to find a place to crash for a week before graduate school!

I am 26, and am going to graduate school in London. Along the way I have learned age is the worst possible way to measure life. I have always had a sense of adventure and that is the driving force more both my move from my small town in Michigan to New Orleans and now to London! I have a silly sense of humor and love meeting new people everyday. Always happy to discuss politics, film, or some combination of both.

Life is a story, make it a good one.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I cannot accommodate in London but love to meet new people when I travel!

I haven't done it yet, but am excited for my first CS trip!

Well....reading, film, television, politics (discussion and in the context of all of the above),art, FOOD!, exploring the world around me, fighting off evil doers and saving people across time and space. Oh wait.. That last one was The Doctor, not me. Swimming, tennis, hiking, climbing trees, taking random trips to new places. And more!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Classic cinema, political movies, cerebral movies and stupid comedies. Favorites, The Manchurian Candidate and The Little Mermaid :)

Music: Regina Spektor, Neko Case, First Aid Kit, Fiona Apple, you see where this is going...and I do have a weakness for Pop music

Books: History, Literature, Politics, Sci Fi, LOTR, The Death and Life of Great American Cities, anything Orson Welles

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've lived in New Orleans, where i've danced barefoot through the streets under a life-size Trojan horse on Mardi Gras Day, taught kids about WWII, rebuilt homes, watched the moon rise over the Mississippi, and discovered the extreme beauty of what it means to be human.

Teach, Learn, Share

Happy to teach passable French; how to live life like a New Orleanian; American craft beer. Would love to improve my French; more about Italian wine; everything I can about the world we live in. Happy to share my smile, which I am told is contagious :D
