ABOUT ME

I shamelessly love Jesus, as I owe the great changes in my life to what He has done in me. That being said, I do my level best to love people as He did, which means loving everyone without condition. I spend my days working hard, resting well, and dreaming about what is to come. I am passionate about traveling, hiking, photography, whisky, warm food, good conversation amongst friends, and collecting quality things that last. I also love to read; my two favorite book series being The Lord of the Rings and The Harry Potter series. "It is dangerous business, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to."

I would love to have the opportunity to stay with interesting people on my travels and hopefully enrich their lives with my stories and experiences as much as I know they will enrich mine.

I have never once couchsurfed and I am new to the idea.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read! I primarily enjoy fantasy literature. I read anything written by J.R.R. Tolkien (The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings books and films particularly), C.S. Lewis, The Harry Potter books and films, and nearly any other movie (I just love movies in general). I like slow music that tells a story. My favorite music genres are Folk and Country music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have backpacked the Smoky Mountain National Forest section of the Appalachian Trail.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a fluent in English language and am a proficient teacher. I have a degree in filmmaking and know how to write a good story. I can play a bit on the ukulele and guitar and teach someone wishing to learn how to play. I've been sailing since I was a little kid and can hold my own on a boat with a small crew. I also ride a motorcycle and enjoy it very much. I would teach anyone who would be willing to learn (as long as they promise to wear a helmet :)
