About Me

I have come to Liverpool to work and live having travelled through and worked in east Africa, a starck contrast to the dusty hot climate of Equatorial Africa.

I am a very young 49 going on 50 year old with an adventurous and intrepid attitude to life. I was born in Mauritius, my parents are British, travelled extensively from an early age and visited most parts of the world except Asia and the south/north poles.
Lived in various cities around the world like San Francisco, Los Angeles, Sydney and Berlin, to name but a few, and within the UK as I was a Navy Brat, so I am adaptable and flexible where ever I go.

Life-Is-What-You-Make-It - you will only gain and reap the rewards of life by what you put in, hard work, accomplishment and achievement is the key. Mankind is only a blip on this earth, the mountains will still be around long after we have gone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Easy going and down-to-earth is how I would describe myself. I'm in the process of looking for a Studio flat at the moment, as I want to stay in Liverpool for quite some time and set myself up as a Consultant. The north part of England is an amazing part of England, the people are every bit as warm as the people I left in Uganda, and the sun doesn't shine half as much in Liverpool as it does in Uganda.

I have little, if not no experience what so ever of couchsurfing. I have, and do enjoy staying at Hostels and sharing with other like-minded people who like traveling and meeting other people such as myself, so I am open minded and very laid-back. I am also tidy minded and a good creative Cook, I make a mean Greek Musaka with fresh aubergine and lots of other dishes.

So apart from Food and Wine and travel, I am a creative person by nature and very connected to nature also. I love the great outdoors and visiting new landscapes for inspiration, I'm a Landscape Designer/Landscape Architect and love plants, gardens and green open spaces. I also like visiting Flee Markets and Antique shops because you never know what earthly treasures you might uncover. I'm also a Christian and belong to the Church which I find is very enriching.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Leaving my Comfort-Zone 12 years ago and breaking free into the unknown. Making a difference to people's lives, and improving people's well-being.

Teach, Learn, Share

When ever I travel to some place else I always meet interesting people, so I am open to all sorts of people from all walks of life. As for myself, I have the gift of influence over others, especially young people. I have taught in Universities and Horticultural Colleges from time to time because of my background. I will continue to meet amazing peole where ever I go.
