About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I have been studying in the Netherlands (exchange program) for 5 months. Now I am travelling Western Europe for the summer before I go home and start school again in the USA. I'm looking to meet fun new people who are willing to share knowledge with me!

ABOUT ME

I absolutely love science and music. I play several instruments and enjoy jamming with other musicians. I am very interested in learning and often find that once I start learning about a subject, I want to know more. I'm naturally curious and love exploring/adventuring. I really enjoy nature and nature sports. When possible, I like to visit the mountains for hiking, white-water rafting, skiing, and snowboarding. I also am open to swimming in lakes, ponds, rivers, and oceans.

PHILOSOPHY

Everyone can learn from everyone!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently, I go to college in the small town of Normal, IL, so I don't think many visitors are headed my way, but I'm willing to host if I can! I will have to clear it with my roommate first though.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I look forward to learning from my hosts and sharing my own knowledge/experiences with them. I also hope to make new friends during my travels. I would also love to spend time with my hosts if they want to hang out and do activities.

Interests

playing, listening, sharing music. photographing graffiti, cooking/eating, dancing, meeting new open-minded people, swimming, casually playing sports (i'm not into intense competition as much as I used to be), learning new things/skills, and reading about science!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Pulp Fiction, Zeitgeist
Books: Napoleon's Buttons, Cradle to Cradle
Music: too many artists to list. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be Andrew Bird. My favorite genres are jazz, hip-hop, electronic, funk, folk, indie pop, and jam bands. Combinations of these genres are also great :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I climbed to the top (summit) of a mountain in British Columbia, Canada. It felt so amazing.
I've travelled solo across much of western Europe (Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Spain), meeting people and learning new languages as I went.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to share knowledge and learn from others. This is another huge benefit of using couchsurfing to find locals who may offer different insight from the normal tours you might find in a city.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In
