To travel the world, learn new culture, have fun, and gain new perspective and experience.
I'm a 26 year old American guy. I am hoping to meet new friends from all over the world. I was born in western New York and didn't travel much until I entered university. One month after graduating I moved to Japan, and I have been living here for the past 3 years. I enjoy meeting new people, learning new cultures, and basically anything interesting.
Currently I'm working as an English Teacher in Osaka, Japan. I am also studying to become an International Student Advisor for university exchange students.
The ability to adapt to change is one of the greatest strengths we have. In the modern world everything is changing, so I open myself up to new ideas. Gaining new perspective is one of the greatest rewards of all.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I will host in Osaka, and surf as much as possible on my travels.
As I am writing this, I have not had any couch surfing experience through this site. I have couch surfed with my acquaintances and friends, but I'm looking forward to meeting new people through this site.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have walked in sacred forests with 2000 year old cedar trees, purified my soul at the temple on the lands where the Shinto gods were believed to have descended into this realm. I have climbed the Tokyo Sky Tree (634m) and climbed Mt. Fuji. I have sailed across the sea on a ship like the Titanic. I'm hoping to continue adding to this list.
