I was born in Tijuana, Mexico and grew up in a suburb of San Diego called El Cajon, "The Box". I loved growing up where it was warm year-round and then I had the idea to move to cold, cold Utah and have lived here for 15 years. My family and I are ready for an "in between", not Utah and not California. I'm going to visit Austin to test the waters and hope to find a great job and stay here.

I want to be a published author and screenwriter. I am in the midst of writing a memoir in the style of a novel. I'd like to turn it into a screenplay and know that Austin is a great place to be to make a film. My job today is kind of interesting. When people ask what I do and I tell them I own 11 Subways, they automatically assume that I'm rich. I wish they were right! It's been an 8 year adventure that is ending as soon as we can sell our stores.

I'm fun loving and energetic. I love to laugh and take things lightly, but I can also be very serious and business-like when I need to be. I've got to with 4 kids and all those restaurants!

I like to vacation, but going to Austin without my family will be time to myself and time to write. It's business and pleasure!

When I vacation, I love to be active. I have been ziplining in the jungles of Costa Rica, climbed Dunn's River Falls in Jamaica, and I have traveled on rocky, dirt roads to see my grandfather in a little pueblo where my mom was raised in Michoacan, Mexico :)

In the states, I have traveled to Vegas, San Francisco, The Redwoods, Hollywood, Malibu, Zion National Park, Arches National Park, Park City...lots of "Parks", Disney World, and North Carolina. I live a rock's throw away from the Great Salt Lake and that is pretty cool. Snow is cool, I just prefer to visit it though.

I would love to travel all over Europe and to Hawaii, Remember, I like warm places :)

I read a lot of personal development books. Brendan Burchard is my favorite personal development author. I'm excited to read the Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. It's on my list as of next month. My favorite shows to watch are Empire, Jimmy Fallon, and America's Got Talent. Some of my all time favorite movies are Forrest Gump, Grease, Dirty Dancing, and Napoleon Dynamite.Back in the day as they say, I played competitive softball and loved it. Right now, I just enjoy going for walks with my family and our little Minpin Chihuahuas, Boxer and Skippy.

A fun fact about my life, and it's a humble brag, but it's not technically about me, so it's ok; my twin boys won a magazine cover contest as babies and we got flown to NYC for a photo shoot and stayed in Times Square for 3 days. This was all on the dime of the magazine called Baby Talk. We even got a $5,000 shopping spree to Babies R Us. It made no sleep with newborn twins a worthwhile cause :) Fun times!
