About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to travel the world, for the experience and the people. If I can't travel, I want to meet people traveling near me.

ABOUT ME

I am a person who is a good friend. I may seem a bit shy at first but if you get me to relax and open up it is sometimes hard to get me to shut up.
I try to keep what I promise. I'm always on time and the times I'm not there is a good reason for it.
I am funny, sometimes in a darker, more sarcastic way. Some of my jokes really suck but I try to learn from it and make better ones.
If I'm tired or hungry (or help us all, both) I can get really irritated and annoyed but that is just the way I am. You usually can fix it with food and/or rest.

PHILOSOPHY

I am sort of a live and let live kind of girl. I love the fact that people are all unique.
I want to be a better person and a friend. I would also like to be a happy person. If I can manage that, we'll see.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I go to meetings when it's convenient for me to meet local and traveling couchsurfers.
I have a couple trips planned where couchsurfing could easily be an option for my experiences and the budget.
I said here before that I will host when I get a proper couch for it. I still haven't got it, but I am good with alternative options, like a little less comfortable thin mattress on the floor. I will get something better soon, I promise.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted one person at the moment and if was fun. I hope to meet more awesome people soon.

Interests

A lot of my time is spent on studying but I try to make some room for other stuff too.
I play the violin and I was lucky enough to get in the Royal Academic Orchestra.
I try to travel to Finland where most of my friends and family are as often as I can with the little money and time I have.
I love movies and books, especially fantasy and sci-fi. I try to LARP as much as I can and I'm also into boffing (foam weapon combat) even if it's more of a summer thing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy fantasy and science fiction in books and movies. Despite this preference I will watch and read almost anything. I can't always be traveling to expand my knowledge.
When it comes to music, I prefer rock, metal, indie and classical but will try almost anything and have found songs that I like in many other genres of music as well. There is no wrong kind of music, only a wrong state of mind to be listening to it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's kinda hard to pick just one or two positive moments that have defined my life. Partly because we as people tend to focus on the negative, but also because it's hard to pick just a couple defining moments.
I could tell you that the fist fantasy books I got left my world a changed place. David Eddings wrote of the adventures of Belgarion and his companions. I still have fond memories of reading those books again and again and again.
Violin has been a great influece in my life as well. I was never an exceptionally good player (mostly because I was kinda lazy to practise) but the instrument has been a constant in my life for almost 20 years. I have played in orchestras and alone, I have played in parties and funerals. If I didn't have my violin I think there would be a huge hole in my life and personality. I posted on my Facebook at one point: "I have to tell you that one of the best decisions I have ever made was when I told my mom I wanted to play the violin. I was six years old. A smart six-year-old, even if I say so myself."

Teach, Learn, Share

I find weird, little facts totally interesting. I would love to share those with you. I love a good discussion.
I want to learn to cook delicious, interesting food. I have thought of learning to make good vegetarian or even vegan dishes.
