I'm the second youngest child in a mixed family of ten children. My dad delivered me. I adore plants, and I greet my Jade plant and my Monsterosa Deliciosa plant every day when I get up and when I get home from school/work. I love cooking and trying new foods in the places I visit.

I love connecting with people in the places that I visit. This coming year is my final year of medical school, and I will be traveling a lot for clinical rotations and residency interviews. It's important for me that while I'm at different places for interviews, I get a real picture of what living in each city is like, and I think that's the true benefit of doing Couchsurfing instead of hotels. I also intend to travel internationally in the upcoming year (and always). In the past I've used other home-sharing sites, and the best part of it is meeting real local people you can share wine with on their rooftop in Barcelona, who will teach you how to cook Moroccan cuisine under the Marrakesh sun, or who will point out the best Korean fried chicken in Chicago.

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

I've helped a team of surgeons diagnose a young man with stomach cancer. It didn't feel great or amazing, but this man had not previously been told for months after another doctor found the cancer that he had it. He had fallen through the cracks. Had he not come in to the hospital very ill, and had I not meticulously read through his medical records, he may still not know. The outlook was very poor, but the man certainly at the very least deserved to know what was ravaging his body.
