I'm a 57 years old woman living in a house in a small village, Glumsø, in the middle of the triangel Sorø, Ringsted and Næstved at Zealand. The train from Copenhagen stops here every hour. I have a boyfriend and three grownup kids. In the 70'ties and 80'ties I lived in Copenhagen but when I gave birth to the children , my former husbond and I moved to the countryside, where they are grown up. My kids live all now in Copenhagen, two of them studies and one became a mother this spring.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I feel good meeting people from other cultures and countries. For me it is more exciting and authentic to live together with people in their own country compared to stay in a hostel or hotel. I find coachsurfing a great concept where travellers can help each other sharing money at accommodation .... or even better it gives some of us the posibility to travel more and longer :)
One of my children travels a lot and use coachsurfing all over the world. she speaks warmly of the concept.

Interests

I produce videoes, make trips by bike, doing gardening, seeing friends and family :) I have a guitar and a piano, but haven't touched the musical instruments for a long time.

I like many kinds of music, but my favorites is Rhythm & Blues, Soul, Motown. Rock 'n' Roll is good as well ... and folk music .... and :)
I love romantic and funny movies like 'Allo Allo', Pretty Woman, Blå mænd, The Intouchables (De urørlige), Something Gotta Give (Jack Nicholson), tv-serien Lærkevej.
I read crimes - mostly Danish and Swedish writers, Family Sagas written by Rosamunde Pilcher, Marcia Willett etc.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Glumsø is situated one hour from Copenhagen by train. My house is situated 15 minuts walk from the train station. Glumsø is a small village, where you very easely can get out on the countryside. At two sides of the village there is a small forest and at the third there is lake with a path around. The surrounding of Glumsø gives a lot of posibilities for going by bike or walking. We have a museum with bikes and mopeds (the greatest in Denmark) and another with art. In Glumsø there is also a speedway lane.
