My wife (whose name is Sydney) and I live in DC with our two dogs, named Goose and Boss. We're both super laid back and love adventure! I'm the world traveler who can never really stay in one place for very long. Sydney keeps me grounded, but is wonderful about letting me disappear for a few weeks at a time, before coming home to her, our little family, and beautiful home.

Since we live in a pretty popular city I get a lot of requests, and many people don't read my profile, so I decided to help manage the requests to only accept those that read my profile. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I had a great experience as a surfer in the south of France, and now am in a position to reciprocate.

We both enjoy meeting new and interesting people, and getting ideas for the next place to go, but we also have incredibly crazy work schedules (Sydney often gets home at 2am); so if you're looking for folks to hang and dine with or be a tour guide (beyond verbal suggestions), we're probably not the best fit. If we don't have plans (work or social), we're happy to hang and get to know you better; but mostly we're just happy to provide a way for folks to visit our wonderful city, who otherwise might not be able to.
