ABOUT ME

I live in Hythe, a small market town near the New Forest and Southampton. I have lived here for 10 years and absolutely love it. My 19 year old Daughter has just flown the coup to go to University in Brighton leaving me, my Husband and our 3 gorgeous doggies to rattle around in our 3 bedroomed semi detached house. I am registered disabled as I suffer from Diabetes and a Metabolic illness. I am managing my disability well and am learning not to put my life on hold just because Im not as fit as others. I have just returned from Luxor, in Egypt and it has given me a taste for adventure, meeting new people and trying new things. I will be 40 this year and, I feel, it's time to put myself out there and broaden my, and Hubby's horizons.

PHILOSOPHY

After suffering from a severe illness for many years, I am now coming out of the other side and ready to enjoy life as much as I can. I have certain restrictions, due to my health but, Hubby and I are constantly developing tactics so that I can still enjoy a fulfilled life. I have an IQ of 169 and am constantly hungry for knowledge and stimulation, hopefully, travelling and hosting other Travellers will satiate my craving for knowledge and adventure. I am a firm believer in being non Judgemental and have a 'live and let live' attitude.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't had any guests, nor have I been a guest yet. I signed up for couchsurfing a few years ago but, then. I got very ill and could not make use of the site really. I can't wait to host my first guest and to show them around the beautiful New Forest. At a push, I could accommodate up to 4 people, however, the child comes back home from Uni occasionally (usually when she wants her washing done or money). There is just my Husband and I and our 3 dogs, a German Shepherd, a Westie and a Miniature Yorkie.

I love anything horror related, particularly Zombies and, I am building a Zombie Survival Shelter in my Garden, I'm not mental, honest (just a bit of fun really). I'm a bit of a computer geek and I love video games (mainly Resi). I like to visit the Forest and local Beaches, I love dogs and have just inherited 2, as well as our GSD, I have a thirst for knowledge. Hubby is into Dr Who, Star Trek, Football etc....

I am great with computers. I don't mind helping to improve people's English and perhaps encourage their inner musician. Hubby teaches 'open wet shaving' using steamed towels etc.... and would be happy to give a demo. I enjoy learning about different cultures and customs and would live to improve my French and Spanish. Hubby loves learning new recipes and cooking techniques.
