About Me

Once upon a time, in a small, small town there was a little crazy girl. She climbed on every tree, skied down dangerous hills, was spending have of the day like Pocahontas in the forest hurting her leg literally every week....
Yes, this little girls name is Annabella.

Although I always was quite crazy and adventurous when I was little I never would have though I would be traveling around the world all alone one day!
I started in Asia when I was 19 years old with people I just met online. We met the first time at the airport in Bangkok, Thailand and had the best time of our life together.
Then I went to the States and Central America alone, traveling from Guatemala to Panama. 2016 I returned to SEA and volunteered in an orphanage and then I surfed trough India for 2 months (freaking amazing time!!!!).

My last trips where in Europe in Italy, France and Spain and lately Morocco.
I moved to Berlin 2016 and am currently studying computer science, but I will never stop traveling and learning.

I definitely can say traveling changed me a lot - in a positive way.
The freedom and happiness you feel while you are on the road, somewhere in the nowhere, sitting in a chickenbus with broken windows, loud Latin American music almost making you deaf....I LOVE IT! :))

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While traveling CS (and Workaway!) made my times so special and unforgettable. The times I spend CS or in local families while traveling will always stay in my memory and I made friends for life.
And this is traveling for me: connecting and sharing with other amazing people, getting inspired by all of you guys who crossed my path.

Some of my closest friends now I met traveling so I really believe in the power and being open minded and just getting this connection. And also all of the people I met inspired me SO MUCH.

I believe that CS is a great community, I have surfed a lot and also hosted in Berlin and it was always awesome.

I you are hosting me:
I would be really interested in learning some words in your native language (if its not german or english haha).
Also I make the best German famous Potato Salad! (Bavarian style). If you host me I would love to cook together and just explore random places and get lost :)

Please not that I don't drink alcohol and don't take drugs so if you're looking for a party mate to get wasted with I am probably the wrong person. But if you enjoy going out together, talking, connecting and sharing I promise you will have a great time with me!

If you are staying with us in Berlin:
Also my room mate and I are BIG foodies. We love to have "Döner-Dates" at 1am, where we eat Kebap with Falafel like little pigs and then watch movies all night.
So if you it should happen that you can't sleep, feel free to start cooking your national dish in our kitchen (:

Music, Movies, and Books

When I was in Luang Prabang I was lucky to be there during the Film Festival.

They showed several Asian Movies and one movie that totally inspired me and touched my heart was "Still I Strive", a Cambodia Movie about kids from an orphanage in Phnom Penh.

I am so inspired to start my own social project, anybody who had advice or any knowledge about that please send me a message!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Riding a scooter with a guy I just met in the ferry a few hours ago up to the view point in koh Tao.

Swimming with the plankton in Cambodia at night, the sky full with stars, somewhere in the ocean...

Traveling with locals from Honduras I've just randomly met at the border to Nicaragua for 10 days and staying at their home place

Hiking the vulcano Acatenango and camping up on the crater, seeing Fuego erupt every 10mins.

Sitting in the chickenbus in Guatemala next to a woman with a big plant on her lap, the branches flying into my face all the time, it was soooo hilarious!

Spending less than 100Euro in 2 months in India, because I was CS everyday and meeting the most awesome people ever.

Also I didn't shower for 3 weeks when I was staying in an orphanage in Cambodia. (There was no shower. And YES we have a shower here in Berlin, don't worry. It is even with warm water ;) )

Traveling 10 hours only to be flooded away from the rain in dessert of morocco and not seeing the beautiful stars at night (I asked my guide when it rained the last time, he said 3 years ago haha)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach how to make the best German Potato salat or Bavarian words that will impress everybody you meet :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will do my best that we have a great time together and create memories that we will never forget.
CS for me isn't just to crash at a place for free, nor is it a dating website.
I'm still very good friends with most of my former hosts - so if you feel good vibes and are interested in getting to know me and share you are warmly welcome :)

Please include the word "WONDERFUL" in your request to show you read and understood :)
