About Me

I am generally laid back and just like to enjoy life. I love to hit the road and take road trips to a planned or a random destination when I get a chance to take off at last minute.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am surfing so I can travel a bit more in the U.S. and then also to some other destinations such as Australia, New Zeland, Ireland, Scotland and other destinations.

I am also going to be interested in hosting soon when I have things in order in my home.

I like the idea of going new places and meeting new friends.

I love traveling and road trips! I read lots of fiction, enjoy all kinds of movies, like to have game nights, have a passion for cooking and love my dog fur babies. (The will not be accompanying me on surfing trip)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As I am a bit more independent than some of my friends and family, I have traveled a few times all on own and enjoyed my time. I even went as far as the far far West Highlands of Scotland all on my own to meet up with a dear love one that was already there volunteering on the Isle of Iona at their Abby. It was an amazing trek. I drove from DFW to Tulsa OK so I could fly out of the same airport She did and be able to fly back on her flights. I then flew to Chicago, then London and had to sit next to a total stranger for 9 hrs, then on to Glasgow, took a city bus to the train, took it down to a tiny town at the end of the tracks and then stayed the night there in Oban, caught a ferry the next morning to the Isle of Mull, then took a bus to the other end, then another ferry over to the Isle of Iona.

It was amazing! It was also a surprise for my dear friend who was over there trying to come to terms that her cancer was now terminal. We spent some time on the island, I helped with some last items she was doing as volunteer work, she showed me around the island and then when her duties were finished we spent some time back up in Oban and Glasgow along the way till it was time to start home.
