About Me
Mathematics and Chemistry teacher who has just moved to the UK to start a new position in Birmingham. Spending the summer break doing some traveling around Europe. Prior to teaching I did a few other careers including biomedical research and a stint in the army. I have also lived in Japan for 5 years as well as a year in Germany a long long time ago.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Why not?! The best experiences in travel are when you can connect to the local community and get off the tourism route right?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Parachuted into the ocean 5km from shore in the middle of the night, put a boat together, got to shore. Then 70km and 24 hours approx without food or sleep carry 40kg and doing various nasty activities designed to make ones life miserable.
hiked to everest base camp.
Lived in the deep countryside of Northern Japan for 5 years.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I am very skilled at chopping things. (I like to cook).
Lifting heavy things, chopping fire wood, all those manual boring things I am quite good at.
