ABOUT ME

Originally I'm from Nuremberg in Bavaria, Germany, best known for the Oktoberfest in Munich (huge beerfest). My hometown is famous for one of the best sausages you can find. For my undergrad studies I left Bavaria and moved to St. Gallen in Switzerland to study Economics. Yes, there are many mountains and a lot of snow :D I actually prefer the sea though. Right now I'm on my exchange semester in England and enjoying the beautiful landscapes (and being at the sea, but more about what I love about water under interests).
so that's what I'm doing and now a little bit to myself. I love being creative, creating stuff, designing for example tables or beds. I like to keep it simple. In my opinion the beauty in life lies in the simplicity. But not in a kind of boring simplicity, but in a reduced kind of way, still magnificent though. Therefore I love all reduced forms, that still have this surprising moment, what makes a normal thing extraordinary. I try to apply this kind of philosophy to my life which basically leads to the philosophy: do what you do. what means: do everything properly and be aware of it.

I'm new so haven't participated yet but want to meet new people, talk about travelling and want to know about everything else someone is interested in.

Interests

I'm very open-minded, so I like to learn about new things. But when it comes to what I'm doing in my leisure time it's basically three things: I love water, art and food.
Just everything you can do on/in water, I enjoy it. I started with sailing at a very young age and since then I've at least tried many other stuff like surfing, windsurfing, bodyboarding... Right now, because I'm in England, I'm doing a lot of rowing, which is a lot of fun. The boats are so elegant and going so fast and when the sun comes out you can see the light sparkling on the water.
What I love about art is that it lets you reflect about yourself and your environment and gives some kind of meaning in your life. If there's one at all :D
Last, food. I love eating, trying new dishes, preparing food. You just spend a lot of time eating and it's what you give to your body so why shouldn't you enjoy yourself whilst doing it :)

Music, Movies, and Books

First of all I really like Woody Allen Movies, but on the other side I really enjoy movies like Fast and the Furious and James Bond. Light stuff like that...
For music I don't have a specific type of music I enjoy but I often tend to like mixtures. For example electronic music combined with classic music (Something ala mode - Rondo Parisiano) or rap combined with piano... Overall as in everything I like reduced and simple but somehow intriguing music (the xx).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first time you're standing on your board and riding a wave in front of the white water. This feeling is just incredible...
