ABOUT ME

Hey everyone,

My name is Anthony Lujan and I'm currently travelling around the globe.

My main hobbies are snowboarding and mountain biking, but I skate on occasion and used to surf in Cali. I've tried out a number of other adventurous outdoors activities as well such as skydiving and whitewater rafting.

My last employer was the US Air Force where I was a loadmaster on the C-130 H cargo plane. Prior to working as a loadmaster I was a bike mechanic (bicycles, not motorcycles) in the summer and a snowboard instructor in the winter. Living in and around the mountains is something I look forward to doing again in the near future.

I hope to meet some great people around the globe and hope I can host some peeps when I settle down sometime in the future.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I am solely a couch surfer, not a host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I was living in Big Bear Lake, California in the winter of 05/06 I surfed my friend Sean's couch for about a month. I'd crashed on couches for a night or two prior to this, but this was my longest time on someone's couch. The rental situation at the house I lived at for the majority of the winter drove me to stay at my friend's for that time, but everyone involved was cool with it and it worked out well. He ended up calling me up the next winter to be roommates with him and his girlfriend. I rented the room from them for that season and the next.

While travelling I don't intend to stay at anyone's house as long as I stayed at Sean's, but I intend to leave a good impression just the same.
