Making first steps in traveling independently and meeting new people around the world.
What I value the most are occasional, inexplicable and always unpredictable revelations of world's beauty. When I suddenly see something so great in objects surrounding me, or feel it in time passing.
The most important thing for me is art, but seeing nature interacting with art is sublime.
And I'm not particularly a party animal, but I do enjoy having fun in a good company.
Feelings and thoughts get interwoven very tightly, and I cannot anymore distinguish the first from the latter. Which I really enjoy.
I value emotions.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm currently living on campus, in foreign country, studying at Bard College. So far I cannot offer my couch in my native country, and my dorm room doesn't have couch at all, although people with sleeping bags are welcome.
I'm probably going to become an occasional couch-surfer. Now I'm going to San Francisco on my own for a Spring break, and I'm really looking forward to experiencing the couch-surfing.
especially, Film, Music, Fine Arts
I'm myself a Film major, studying both theory and practice.
Museums, concerts, any piece of culture - walking down the street is perceiving culture, too.
I'm always interested in new concepts and theories.
Music, Movies, and Books
It is a wide variety, which makes it complicated to articulate in few positions. Favorite things are always changing, as does time and everything.
However, my current favorite movies are Blade Runner, julien donkey-boy, Aguirre, Satantango.
Music - mostly alternative/indie: shoegaze, noize rock, slowcore... Progressive rock, kraut... Avantgarde... Alfred Schnittke, Bedrich Smetana, Jan Sibelius, Lepo Sumera...
Books: Latin American magic realism (Asturias, Silva, Onetti, Borgez, Marquez), Nabokov, Dostoevsky, Lawrence Sterne...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Directing an independent movie with the help of my friends only.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always ready to discuss art,
to tell about places I've been to, including my home town, of course,
to share childhood memories and nostalgia.
