About Me
My name is actually Anupama, but due to people's tendency to completely squander my name's pronunciation, or just because they feel like it, my friends and family call me Anu. Originally from South India, I've spent the majority of my life in Dubai. I'm a relatively uninteresting student in my senior year of high school.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Recently my friend group and I have been discussing a great trip to Korea to celebrate our high school graduation. All five of us are going our separate ways after high school, so we think it'll serve as a nice experience before we have to hit the pause button on our time together.
My sister, who is far more outgoing than I, had a really great trip to Spain a couple of years back using Couchsurfing and was greeted by genuinely lovely hosts. Considering the fact that my friends and I are students and keen to keep our trip as cheap as possible, I felt like we should take a gander at Couchsurfing too.
Interests
Talking about death, eating shawarma and taking long walks on the beach. I also watch way too many films for my own good. I recently learned how to knit? Which probably won't go anywhere, but I might as well try.
Honestly, pleasant company and good conversation are pretty much all I need to be riveted.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once stepped barefoot in a pile of cow shit. I also once stood less than a meter away from a lion and marvelled at the fact that it seemed to not care at all about my existence, reminding me about how insignificant we all are in the long run. But I think the cow shit thing is more amazing than that.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A sense of humor that my loved ones have previously described as "annoying", "not funny" and "migraine-inducing". I can also juggle (providing your definition of 'juggling' is 'not being able to juggle at all'). I can break into Broadway musical numbers at the click of your fingers.
