ABOUT ME

I am a Colombian/ Italian girl who was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. All my family lives in Colombia and Mexico, so I have been lucky enough to have been exposed to travel at a very early age. Now I am hooked.

After graduating high school I deferred a year from NYU and lived/studied in La Rochelle, Paris (France), Montreux (Switzerand), and Florence (Italy). I did most Western Europe that time around. Of course there are always more amazing people and places to discover!

Then I came back to the states and have been going to NYU for journalism and comp. lit for the past 3 years. I just finished my semester studying abroad in Prague, Czech Republic and it was one of the most amazing 4 months of my life. Currently I am traveling around Europe a bit before term starts again!

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live my life to the fullest. Don't do tomorrow what you can do today.
I am a planner, but I love spontaneity – I think a good balance of these two things is the key to like – we need to nurture both the Apollonian and the Dionysian!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just joined the program. I have traveled with CS on my fall break with a friend who was a member. After seeing what a great program it really was and how safe and amazing all our hosts were, I was a believer! So now I hope to take part in CS and offer my couch whenever I can. Currently I am traveling around, so I unfortunately cannot host at the moment.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed in Vienna, Budapest and Krakow so far – it has been an amazing experience in each place.

Interests

I love traveling (obviously), speaking and learning languages and putting them to use. I am very interested in meeting people and listening to their stories (maybe that's the journalist in me). Photography has been a passion of mine for the past 8 years of my life. I have worked in a lab for most of my career, but now I am getting into the digital world (apart from my handy point-and-shoot, which I love) and trying to turn that into something more serious.
I am really into being fit and healthy and love all kinds of outdoor sports and activities. I love food and am a total foodie! That is usually the first thing I like to explore in a new city!

I love Swedes, good coffee, and friends.
