to figure it out! and then do it!
I have no idea how to describe myself.
I'm very easy going. So much so that I can't recall the last time I was stressed out, over anything. If you don't let yourself get caught up in things you can't change, life is easy. (Usually.)
I'm majoring in Community Entrepreneurship at UVM, and minoring in Economics, English, and Ecological Agriculture.
(That says something about me, right?)
(Yeah, I like the letter E)
I'm trying to run a farm someday!
I consider myself a pretty independent person; if I'm couchsurfing, and your schedule doesn't match up with mine or anything like that, it's cool, I can entertain myself pretty easily. (Not to say I'd rather be alone- I'd rather meet new people if I could.)
I've got a hell of a sense of irony, which comes hand in hand with sarcasm as well.
I'll let you know when I'm dead!
(Get it? Because that's the kinda thing that takes a lifetime to answer- haw haw haw)
But to be temporarily serious (the best kind), I think life is about getting as many of the richest fullest differentest experiences you can, emotionally and physically. You are your past, that is, you are defined by what you do in your time here...maximize it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now, I'm just trying to find a place to stay until I can get into my apartment, but I really dig this idea and will probably open up a couch for the surfers of tomorrow when I can.
I'm all about multiple perspectives. I like to absorb others' ideas, cultures, etc, and generally try to challenge my thoughts as much as I can.
These are big things I'm passionate about!
Music, hiking, frisbee, climbing, reading, running, philosophizering, a lil' soccer, food (growing, cooking, and eating it), travel, skiing, learning (!)
- rock climbing
Music, Movies, and Books
No this is way too much..here's just a little, and in no order
Grateful Dead, Vonnegut, Nietzsche, Grizzly Bear, Marvin Gaye, Waking Life, Pulp Fiction, Kerouac, Miles Davis, The Simpsons, Mississippi John Hurt
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last January I went backpacking for the first time through the High Peaks region of the Adirondacks. The temperature never got above 15 F or so, and it was a beautiful, sorta surreal-dreamlike experience the whole time. I want to do things like that much more often in the future.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can give running tips/ideas/etc, or maybe help you brush up on your Nietzsche, or the blues. Or we could trade cool experiences for a while, that's still a form of learning.
I'm trying to learn more about-
cooking (I'd really love to get into baking bread), music (both playing and hearing), woodworking, sustainable agriculture/food systems, English, and the natural world, among many other things.
