About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to find a way to lighten lives in challenged places

ABOUT ME

ever evolving & very multi-faceted i spend large amounts of time in solitude where i can be loud or silent as the mood takes me from second to second. similarly in company i can listen to people's innermost anxieties or keep bored drivers entertained with lurid tales for hours. i will behave impeccably with frail elderly people, squirm about in the mud with kids or randomly indulge in spontaneous mayhem, it all depends what the situation calls for i love to share time, energy, notions and adventures with individuals but am not fond of digitally broadcasting myself to the masses. i have performed in front of thousands but Always in disguise

PHILOSOPHY

do unto others as you would be done by [but keep religion to yerself]

humour, however twisted

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

not yet participated but have been curiously keen since a random encounter with a huddle of people smashing something in the dark outside my storage unit in the Southern Pacific ticket booth office in the Wild Western town folly in Edinburgh [my life stories never ring true..] they were churning ice cream & when they invited me to join them revealed they had all met through 'couchsurfing'.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

truckdrivers, policemen, families so many have invited me into their homes while hitchhiking from scotland to syria or otherwise stumbling about the world . the kindness of strangers never ceases to restore my faith in humanity

Interests

heavy machinery, mathematically folded paper dresses, moving deliriously fast through fresh air, intricacies of wordplay, sound of all sorts, vast panoramas, minute detail, derelict buildings, breathtaking beauty, the cult of the mundane, if i go on i won't stop..

Music, Movies & Books

music: the good things from every genre [tho rarely what gets into the charts] from swing to death metal via musique concrete, krautrock, easy listening & extreme noise the arabs do it for me, as do the balkan gypsies The Residents are fundamental ennio morricone is the maestro

books: primarily reference books to try and assuage my hunger for knowledge

One Amazing Thing I've Done

surviving being run over by a train in romania
