About Me

CURRENT MISSION

trying to realize that life is a show about nothing, and that nothingness is something :)

ABOUT ME

After starting my search for spirituality I've realized that most of the stuff I believe is wrong, so I've started to become interested in a large range of things I would have never considered before. The world in ways is completely new :) Anyway I've had quite a few experiences and would be interested in talking with other open minded folks.

PHILOSOPHY

Just being in the moment is all you need to achieve happiness. It's like Othello, it takes a moment to learn but a lifetime to master.

I used to do a lot of activities, rock climbing, hiking, camping, biking, swing dancing etc. but after starting yoga and meditation I really have pretty much just focused on that for the past year or so while in India. I am expanding my meditation to include reiki and other similar practices.

Music, Movies, and Books

Guns, Germs and Steel, Life of Pi

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

apart from experiences in meditation, trekking around Mt. Kailash at 17k feet was an amazing experience. Walking at normal speed on flat ground is tiring at that height. I was thinking I was in shape since I am generally pretty active, but I had a tough time and it really pushed my limits. I remember waking up in the middle of the night one night feeling like I was not getting any oxygen (my breathing became too shallow while sleeping) and even walking outside the tent didn't help. I just had to calm down and take deep breaths, definitely an experience :)

Also the group on the trip was great as well, it was funny to go with some doctors who refused to take any medicine until they thought they were too sick to continue!

Teach, Learn, Share

Be open to everything, I did engineering and a lot of things I used to believe were bs are things that I have experienced in meditation. Also the goal of life is happiness, though people seek it through different means. The funny thing is that happiness requires no effort, you can just be happy. Searching for happiness makes you unhappy, meditation and yoga definitely help and work on you on many levels for the better. Its really too amazing to even describe :)

I am working on Reiki so if you want reiki let me know.
