ABOUT ME

Our names are Ariel and Parisa and we are two best friends that love to travel! This summer we are traveling through France and Spain together as a last horah before we separate to attend different universities. We both have a strong passion for food and plan on documenting all of our fabulous culinary experiences on our shared food blog as we explore.

Interests

As full time students, our free time is somewhat limited. When we are able to catch a break, however, we can be found wandering among the streets of San Francisco taking pictures and searching for our next favorite eatery or creating some new and exciting art project. We love to adventure out of our comfort zones and immerse ourselves in new cultures and unfamiliar territories where we can better understand the world around us as well as ourselves. Because we are both anthropology students, we often find ourselves to become obsessed with capturing and emic (or inside) perspective of the people we are visiting and thus try our best to fully immerse ourselves in our surroundings.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most incredible places we visited was Kirkwood, California. We were staying there to celebrate New Years and were awestruck by the beauty in the clarity and brightness of the night sky amidst the snowy mountain range. We had just finished snow sledding with a homless man outside of the only bar at the resort and were pulsing with adrenaline as we crashed in the snow and paused to look up at the beaming starts above us. If serenity could have been captured in a single image, this would have been it.
