Hi there! I'm Arijit. 👋
I'm a semi-grounded digital nomad and Software Engineer who's always on the go. ✈️ I'm currently based in Kuala Lumpur, MY but I'm always on the lookout for new adventures! I love meeting new people and making friends, so Couchsurfing has been a great way for me to connect with people all over the world. I've met with so many amazing people here on CS—people who have become lifelong friends and helped me see things in a new light. ✨🙌
I'm always looking for new places to visit and meet new people while I'm there, so if you're interested in chatting over a cup of coffee or grabbing a drink sometime, let's get in touch!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people and learning about how they see the world. I've had some amazing experiences just from exploring the world, and I'm excited to keep having more. The best part is that it's all about making connections with other people—it's not about the destinations or the sights. 👀
I love hearing about other people's stories, and I love being able to share my own stories with others. It's a great way to learn more about the world and how different cultures live! I think it's important to get out of your comfort zone and experience new things. If you're not willing to do that, then you'll never know how amazing this planet can be. 🌎
I always wanted to travel around the world. I was born in a small highland town called Kolkata, in the India, it's not that big, but it has a lot of history and culture that makes it very special for me. There are many things to do around here: you can go for a walk through a pine trail or visit the museum near the city center; you can also go shopping at one of the malls or just hang out with your friends at some pub or cafe.
When I was a kid, my mom gifted me a book about the different countries of the world and ever since, I was mesmerized by how much the world has to offer. My dream has always been to travel around the world and see all these beautiful places that I have read so much about, but never had the chance to see them firsthand because they're too far away from us (or maybe we just don't have enough money).
This is the story of how I started traveling.
