About Me

If you work really hard, and you're kind, amazing things will happen. - Conan O'Brien

I'm an average college student living in South Korea, eager to soak the whole world in. I love adventure and new experience, while not being apt at it. However, I'm getting better with your help!

I've been studying English Literature and Economics in college, and currently studying in Evansville, Indiana as a part of exchange program. During exchange program, I've had load of awesome activities with highly interactive and engaging courses.

I love going to movies and live shows, playing video games. I love stories and narratives which instigate thoughts and imaginations. Also, I really if someone joins me.

Though people hate reiteration and redundancies, I think this quote deserves that kind of attention.

"If you work really hard, and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

A person, small or big, can have enormous influence on other people. I, myself, have felt that truth by knowing that only one hug for just a few seconds can make my entire day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I found out the site after I had my trip to the United States on 2011.

I stayed with some wonderful hosts, now I think them of my good friends. I really hope to get to know you, and further, become able to host someone Someday.

It is wonderful and touching that meeting other person that way. Not to mention, I felt really happy that I get to meet them. For me, couchsurfing is a tool of miracle, where amazing things are happening.

I'm interested in moives, American TV shows, collecting coins from time to time, playing video games, reading good books. World history has always been a fascinating subject for me, too.

I love competitive shooting and badminton as sports. the former is one I would like to try one day, the latter is my favorite sport to play even though I'm not that good at it.

As I once served in the navy, I am also very much interested in naval traditions which kinda universial on this planet.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like movies in general except horror films. I'm particularly interested in movies (including TV shows) that I can put myself into, such as fantasies, sci-fis, or something has its own world which I can play with my mind on how those society works, et cetera. On the other hand, I also love to get to some romantic comedies. Stories that beautiful men and women strive to find true love always heartwarming.

For music - I love soundtracks. I think that shows my interest in music is basically a derivative from my interest on other multimedia genres like musicals. However, my playlist is including some Korean ballards, pop musics, rock musics.. other assorted things(I really cannot pinpoint personally preferred sub-genre because I get my music by preference entirely on a particular track, not on a genre or an artist. However, I have some favorite artists like Hans Zimmer(I really believe he deserves Nobel Prize on Music, if such an entity exists), Idina Menzel, Kelly Clarkson, so on.

I once indulged into Robert Harris' faction novels. I have read everything that he wrote. Otherwise, I've been exposed to some of John Grisham's work and Dan Browns' and other many literary works given I'm a student that studying English literature. Michael Sandel's works were nice tipping point for my interest in philosophy, and Kennedy's "The Rise and Fall of the Great Powers" caught my attention for pretty long period of time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Working as a translation assistance for the 17th Asian Games Incheon, Korea. It was really great to have some front-line experience and insights on such multinational sports event. I also got to meet one of my favorite athlete. I got her autograph on my laptop.

I drove over 4,000 miles while I'm in the US. My favorite font is highway gothic now.

Me and a group of students got 90,000 dollar grant to build bunch of solar panels on a community center. Pretty awesome.
