Learn languages, help people and travel as much as I can
Hi, Hola, Guten Tag, Shalom,
My name is Asaf, I love to see and learn what's going on this world of ours, the different people, cultures, and especially languages.
I love to travel as a backpacker, to stay in a country for a relatively long time and get to know it a little better. I spent a year backpacking in Latin America (unfortunately didn't know the couchsurfing option...) and am now traveling for shorter periods.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Some of the greatest experiences I've had traveling were due to the great hospitality and kindness of the people living in the countries I've been to.
Not only through couchsurfing.com - I've had some great experiences - dinner in a Peruvian suburb, a week long house stay in Chile, hanging out with Chinese in Beijing, going out to eat some Tapas in Pamplona with "the locals", etc.
And that's what I enjoy the most, just getting to know the people, hear what they speak and laugh about, have a beer and go out and have some fun, and also learn about the more "serious" aspects of their lives and their countries.
I've also had a great time hosting people I traveled with here in Israel, showing them around, and having a lot of fun.
Languages, other cultures, music, movies, politics and having fun!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It's hard to pick one, I've had dozens of great moments while hosting couchsurfers and surfing abroad.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd be happy to share anything I know
