The more I try to find myself, the more I get lost...
I am not really good -actually I am very bad- at "selling myself" but I do love my life, do different things and try as many different experiences as I can. That's my main philosophy, so that I will possibly never end up regretting something I haven't done. I enjoy travelling and what I like the most of it is getting to know new people and share stories, experiences and thoughts with them, no matter the differences. How nice is that you can talk to people and learn so many things that you will never be able to explain to someone else or read in a book? You are just supposed to live certain things and that's the beauty of travelling.
I don't have my philosophy...or simply it would be too long and it's even too personal to explain it here. Shortly, I believe that everything we do, comes back to us and that happiness is directly proportional to the sorrow we have suffered. This is what I think about life but there are more thoughts that belong to other fields.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
my mum is hosting on my behalf. :) So, if you need a place where to stay in Italy, just ask and she'll be more than happy to host you.
I have done quite a bit of couchsurfing and I love it for many different reasons:
apart from making me save money and allowing me a good sleep, it is a more personal experience that I can have. It is much better than randomly bump into someone in the kitchen of a backpacker. I always have good chats with my hosts and most of the times also deep ones. I really appreciate those kind of chats, where people share their point of view and by the time I leave their place I feel somehow enriched.
I am very glad to be part of the CS community.
I am interested in music, of course, every kind of sports, I do read lots of books and art.
Music, Movies, and Books
Anything directed by the Coen brothers, Tim Burton or Quentin Tarantino.
I listen to all kind of music except metal, I really don't like it.
Books...I could just list some of my favourite authors: Coelho, Allende, Terzani, G.G. Marquez, Yoshimoto...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The President of East Timor! :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I haven't lived in Italy for more than three years now and there is one thing I have learned and that I'd like to share: being in Europe, we grow up thinking that people from other countries are different: italians eat pasta & pizza, british are polite, germans are punctual etc. These are just boring stereotypes that don't fit and I completely don't agree with. People are different because of their carachters, not according to the place where they have grown up.
Countries I’ve Visited
Morocco, Tonga, United States
Countries I’ve Lived In
Australia, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg
